Self-Less

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”  -Theodore Roosevelt  Sometimes it can be incredibly hard to keep your faith, to let go of your guard and just be humble and kind. Especially when you feel like everyone  and thing  around you is deliberately trying to drag you down,  mentally, physically and emotionally.  I think the biggest problem here is that no one is  actually TRYING  to drag anyone down intentionally, and that’s truly because we are all too caught up in our own lives, beliefs and selfishness to let alone even consider another’s. But to be  Selfless  is to let go of that guard, to free your mind from your own wants to be the kind helping hand that someone else can find comfort in. Although, to let go and be free from your own thoughts, wants, needs and desires can be a challenging thing to accomplish within yourself, if you have compassion and care for others you won’t worry so much about your own...

Single, and Emotionally Exhausted.

So i'm out with my single girlfriends, and we get into conversation about how all the good guys marry the mean girls. You know the girls that are defined as crazy, the bitches , the girls that these guys will always chase, because they don't give a fuck about anything let alone a good guy that likes them. But that only makes him want her more. Because according to the hot guy bartender that tried to counsel us single ladies into being that crazy mean girl so more men will like us. Apparently these "good guys" only want love if its torture, just like Taylor Swift says. Go-figure.  So are we completely screwed if we are good girls that don't like drama, confrontation, or being mean and crazy? We're just girls that actually love love, and enjoy happiness in life and even guy stuff. Unlike those prissy needy mean girls that make their man beg and chase them just to get a damn bone. And does that make us single girls easy just because we also love sex and want t...

The Definition of Love.

Ever feel like people try to influence you to believe what love actually is, what it should be, how it should feel, and what it is or is not based on their own version of it? My understanding is that love is special and its something real and true, because it's really only a feeling felt. I mean have you ever actually looked up the actual definition of it? The definition of Love in the dictionary is a noun that is an intense feeling of deep affection. And then its followed by the verb, which is to feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone. So i'm a bit confused as to why people are so damn afraid to Love since the definition speaks for itself because we are all performing love actions, only we're not expressing them. Is that the problem here? And I'm sure you have all heard the famous  "Love is patient, love is kind"  scripture, that comes straight from the bible as the bibles definition of what love means. Which is another analogy as to what love ...

Is It a Blessing Or a Lesson?

Why do we feel the need to decode our feelings, relationships, friendships and dating, and label them as a lesson or a blessing? And these connections we try so hard to understand in full aspect.  Why do people always say in the end that if it’s not a blessing, then it’s a lesson? I just don’t get it. But I’ll try too.  I feel the need to bring this up, because I already mentioned how I truly believe that all things do happen for a reason, and usually, yeah things that happen could potentially be a blessing or a lesson, but what if its neither? And you still don't know exactly what it is? Could that be why you are unable to move forward, and is the only reason we are able to accept things and move on, because we actually learned something from them? So obviously, if we haven't moved on is it because it truly is a blessing? I can relate to that.   So how do you know exactly if it was a lesson? Just because you learned that you two aren't meant to be? Or that you lear...

Communication in A Relationship.

I feel the need to write about this topic, because it can be so vague. but really, communication, be vague? And how? This generation is all about social media, being on our cell phones every second, even at work we use our own personal cell phones just to manage types of work related tasks, yet communication is still one of the BIGGEST relationship failures to this day and age. I just don't understand it. The funny thing is that more than half of these communication doomed relationships begin on a Communication device, hints all those dating apps!!! This is frustrating because "the simple class woman" in a relationship, whether shes dating or committed, only wants to be able to communicate her day to day life with the one she loves, so if communication simmers down into cold soup, she ends up seeing it as doomed, and moves on to someone who actually does want to communicate. Because lets face it, no one wants to be in a muted relationship, and there are so many people...

Tennessee

While I sit  Watching fireflies glow, I can't help but question  things that I don't know, Like how I thought he was the one. hell, so did everyone. His backwards hat said it all, What was I thinking  when I answered his call. I should've turned away and ran so fast Because now I don't think,  my heart I'll ever get back. Why do his eyes look like a river? Hell, I should've known  he was a sinner. How he captured my heart with his southern charm, I should've thought twice  Before I let him take me back to his farm. I wanted to feel free, Hoping he'd also miss me. So I jumped on a flight, Ended up having  the best time of my life. I found my heart in Tennessee. Doing some soul searching,  Self therapy. When I got off that jet. There was someone there  I never thought I would have met. I was super shocked when he told me his name. You wouldn't believe me  if it was saved in a frame. He was so handsome  Standing in...

Expectations of Perfection.

Ever feel like people just expect you to be perfect LIKE ALL THE TIME? Because yeah, you do care about not only your perception, about everything , so you try your hardest to make everyone happy, because you are a doer, and care so so much. But did you ever think that you are just setting the bar so damn high that you're leaving no room for failure? And I wouldn't even say failure, it’s more like errors. And If you do mess up, that perception of being so damn perfect is all of a sudden now a perception of an asshole, of someone who doesn't care, because at that point people are only focusing on your flaws because they HAD that expectation of your perfection. Expectations. There it is.  People expect someone that cares, who tries, who constantly does their best, who is always there for others, who loves, who is always kind, sweet, nice and helpful, someone who always has all the answers, who is beautiful, who has an amazing heart, and who never says no, to always be...

The Game of Love.

Are we only illustrating false love actions by being intimately involved without the actual commitment? Is that why we assume that we feel in love?  Because when we become intimate with someone we have feelings for, we automatically think that it has to have a meaning? But love is more than just a physical act, so why do we give our love anyway assuming that they feel the same way, when we never knew for sure how they felt to begin with, and yet we still give our heart away like its free change. Is this when "Love" turns into a game? Ever feel like you have reached a breaking point when you feel in love? Like they're just playing games with your heart, playing with your mind, and your emotions like a used penny slot machine, and you're just one out of a bunch of others waiting to finally "win them?" Like helllooo, I'm here, I want you, I give you all the girlfriend/boyfriend benefits and yet you still never send me flowers, or talk for hours, or ev...

Is There Actually A Reason For Our Relations?

Do you believe that every person that you cross paths with actually does have a meaning in your life? Because I sure do. In the same exact way that I truly believe that we have a purpose in this life. Not always do we know why, but there has to be a reason to everything, and it had me questioning the reasons why people come in and out of our lives.  I totally believe that something as simple as a smile from the person behind you at the grocery store can have an affect on your life okay maybe our day but still , all of our days add up to a life anyway right?  So yes, a simple smile in that moment you're in line, and your kids are freaking out, and you feel like the person in front of you has an unlimited use of coupons and they are digging in their purse because they can't find their debit card, or anything for that matter, so you are trying to stay calm, and look behind you feeling bad for that person because you yourself have a cart full of kid food and items you threw in ...

Mind vs. Heart

Our minds are truly our biggest enemy, but also our strength, dignity and sometimes can be beyond our reasonable doubt as  to what our hearts may be feeling, preventing us from actual heartbreak, because we all have feelings, but do our  minds really  prevent us from following through on them only because our minds are right. And  are they? Are our minds actually preventing us from what we truly want and believe in? Or is what our mind is trying to tell us actually legitimate? Because lets face it, without our heart, we would never have a mind, but I can see how people can also say, without our mind, we wouldn't have a heart. So who wins this endless  battle? And how do we know for sure just what leads us in life,  I guess it depends. Do you ever find yourself questioning how you feel? Like something inside your mind is  doubting what your heart feels, but you know inside your heart that no matter what your mind tells yourself, you...
