Online Dating.

"Online dating helps me meet and breakup with someone without leaving the house" -Covid I feel this is a subject that has loads of stories and wild experiences. From my own, my girlfriends, and my guy friends, the stories are endless and relentless. And it baffles me why we still put ourselves out there with hope. But we do, because we believe that like our beautiful, talented and amazing selves, there is someone just the same waiting for us. Which I totally believe is true. But this new alternative universe we live in with Covid and all, makes online dating really the only place to meet and greet potentials. So we find ourselves on those apps now more than social media, looking for the one. But is he or she on there? One can only hope so. The real deal about being single in a pandemic totally sucks. You have soooo much free time to get to know someone on a deeper level, and even more time in the bedroom. While us single folk are over here eating ding dongs and skinny pop li...

Controlling- Poem.

When you get grief for being yourself. Wanting to be free sometimes without catering to someone else. Because you deserve the time you get spend by yourself. You work so damn hard not to pay attention to you. Because you should be able to do anything you want to do,  Without giving someone else the power to dictate what is best or not for you.  Because you know your heart and soul is amazing. And this person will always be the only one complaining. Not allowing you to do simple things without a fight. Trying to force the words I love you down your throat and expecting you to say it back every time. But you keep giving chances. Because you can’t seem to wrap your own damn head around all of this madness.  Because you only see what’s good, not what’s bad. This is the problem and now look where you stand.  But the issue at hand isn’t "who I am". Yet they will always tell me ...

Criticism.

"When it comes to criticism, there's no right or wrong. It's only a conflict between your choices and their judgments." -Tiffany Bales Have you ever felt upset or even hurt when someone who cares about you totally disagrees with you by criticizing you? Like, you say or do something that you are totally passionate about but get shut down like a twenty-four-hour power outage. And it seems as if that fire inside you is attempting to be put out, but by someone you love.  That totally stings right?  Yet somehow we do the same thing to others and aren't even realizing it. We are hurting the ones we love with criticism when all we think we are doing is trying to help. So there it is,  help ; that kind and effortless to the other person word. But there's a fine line between genuinely caring and criticizing. So how far does our willingness to help others end up burning ourselves and others out? Maybe that's the true issue at hand. Maybe trying to help only ...

The Breakup Grief

T hey say that the rear view mirror is smaller than the windshield because what’s in front of you is more important than what’s behind, but when you’re en route to a progressive direction somehow you seem to focus on what you’re leaving behind. And while moving forward you find yourself looking back only because it’s comforting, but you don’t stop or turn around because you know going backwards will not take you to your next journey. And that journey happens the second you finally totally and completely allow your heart to heal. But in order to do that you got to get through the hardest part yet. The breakup grief. And grief happens in stages, only teaching us how to heal. So breakup grief works the same way, only to help you fully recuperate from the unbelievable breakup. The one that broke you into pieces only for you yourself to pick up. And that's when all the stages start to begin. The 5 Stages of Break Up Grief: Stage #1 Heartbreak. To get through all the stages of breakup gr...

Note to Self- Poem.

"Don't downgrade your dream just to match your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny." - John Assaraf Resist the irresistible. And differentiate the impersonators. Evade from deception.  And absorb in all motivation.  Always be the inspiration. And never let the fear of rejection stop you from asking the question. Allow actions to define true perceptions. And don’t worry about what you can’t control, it’s not within your obligation. Allow yourself to always follow your heart. But do it gracefully and by being smart.  And always believe in yourself, No matter what type of cards you are dealt. Don’t ever underestimate,  always overcompensate. Just be who you are. Keep smiling even when you feel torn apart. And by all means when you love, do it with your entire heart.  Be kind and have compassion. You never know who you can help when you care about people in that kind of fashion.  Strive for success....

Left On Read

"There would be a lot less ghosting if there was a lot less bullshitting"  -Unknown. This happens to everyone. You put yourself out there and get shut down. Which should be a positive right? As it’s better to know than to not know, or left wondering. But people now days don’t seem to have the decency to even respond. Leaving you left on read. Ask yourself how many times this has happened in this modern day and age. Probably a lot more than you’d actually think. Further discussion about this topic with my girlfriends, only carried on more gossip about this undeniable subject. Making me realize that this does actually happen more than we think. But why does it sting when it happens to us? Because in contrary, we are also doing it ourselves. So it only made me want to look further into the reasoning and the why. Because it’s just what I do. Turning a negative into a positive is my best trait and well, I’m going to do that for you wonderers that can’t fathom just why someone...

Assumptions Lead Nowhere.

"The problem with assumptions is that we believe they are the truth" - Don Miguel Ruiz Assumption. There it is. That damn word. Why do we assume anyways? Is it because of the lack of truth behind what we are told? That the evaded truth gets replaced by our own assumptions, because we have no proof of what it actually is? Leaving us to only place assumptions for the lack of confirmations. And what if our very own assumptions aren’t even true? Yet we still find some type of belief in those? Then what? We are faced with security? With no doubt? With pure happiness and joy? I beg to differ. Because when we assume, usually it’s not in a positive aspect. Because if we have to assume anything, it's only because the truth wasn't granted, leaving us to author our very own. Because as the definition itself states. An assumption is only accepted as truth without any proof behind it. So how can we truly rely on our assumptions? Truth without proof. It’s like relying on the l...
